[00:00:00] Brittany: Welcome to season two of the teacher leader podcast. I'm your host, Brittany Rincon. I'm a fourth grade teacher, boy, mom, to three and a podcast strategist. I help teachers and leaders start podcasts in order to use their voice, to get their message out there and make a larger impact. And grow their teacher businesses as well. I am so excited to have you join me on another season of this adventure.
Can you believe that it's been almost a full year since I decided to start this podcast? Yes. It was about a year ago. I was taking a walk with my son. Who's now.
18 months old. And I was walking around our neighborhood. It was COVID time. Things were kind of scary. And I was bingeing podcasts. I was listening to podcast after podcast. [00:01:00] All things, teacher, teacher, business, professional development, leadership, you name it. I was listening to it. I even threw in a true crime podcasts here and there.
And as I was taking a walk one day, I realized that I also had a message that I wanted to share with the world. I wanted to talk about teacher leadership. I wanted to tell every teacher that they have a message and a story worth sharing with the world. And I wasn't sure how I was going to do this. I was listening to so many podcasts and I thought to myself, well, maybe I'll dip my toe back into blogging again.
And if you are. New around here. I will be the first to tell you that blogging was not my thing. Don't love it. It's just not something that I enjoy. I much rather plug into microphone and talk, like I am doing right now. [00:02:00] So that really didn't work out very well. So then I was listening to another teacher who also has a podcast and as she was talking about her own journey and why she decided to start a podcast. I realized that this was something that I could do, right. If other people are doing it, I can do it too. That has been my motto in life. Because I definitely think that if other people are doing it. That just means it's possible. That just means that if they have done it, it can be done.
So now it's almost a full year. Since I made the decision to start this podcast. I am so happy that I did. I am a completely different person today. Then I was a year ago. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do after I graduated grad school. And I knew that I wanted to help teachers and I just always assumed it would be in [00:03:00] my building.
But I have met countless teachers over the last several months, and I've heard so many amazing and inspiring stories that I definitely don't want to stop.
So in season two of this podcast, get ready for some incredible interviews with teachers leaders, teacher, business owners. And get ready to hear their stories. I love hearing from other people and why they decided to go on this teacher podcast and teacher business. Journey . Why this? Why plug in a microphone?
Why go online to try to help teachers all over the world.
It's going to be an exciting season and I can't wait to hear what you think about it.
